Rush Limbaugh's hypocrisy

Of course, you have heard this news. On Monday, Rush Limbaugh was stopped at the airport because of a vial of Viagra in his suitcase in someone else's name. The press reports focused on whether this was a violation of his parole on drug charges.

Not one asked the question: What was Rush doing with Viagra? Now, that may seem like an obvious question, but this is the man who in 2004 wrote a column called, "Close Your Fly, You Won't Die." This is a man who says that one of his 35 truths is "Abstinence protects against STDS and pregnancy - every time it's tried." This is a man who supports abstinence-only-until-marriage education that teaches that sex only belongs in marriage, the program that says that sex in marriage is the "expected standard of human sexual activity."

The news reports also haven't mentioned that Rush is divorced -- three times -- or that he is single today. So, if Rush is using Viagra for the same reason other men use Viagra, does that mean...? You bet. So much for expected standards. So much for living according to the values you espouse in the public square. If I was Rush's minister, I'd want to talk to him about how it's important to make sexual decisions consistent with your personal values.

But this is what I really want to know -- did they find an equal number of condoms in his suitcase? Because, Rush, if you aren't going to be abstinent, they are the only thing that are going to protect you.

Are we not assuming two things: 1) Rush could get a date; and 2) one must have another person involved to enjoy the benefits of Viagra.

Well if your going to go and imply things from the fact that he was carrying viagra, why not go the full nine. He was coming back from the Dominican Republic, which while has some great cigar factories, also specializes in sex tourism.

The answer to why Rush Limbaugh needs with Viagra is a no-brainer. He needs it to sustain his perpetual hard-on about all things liberal.

Maybe the things he says aren't really his personal values but because he is a noted voice of conservativeism he feels obligated to feed the RR frenzy while "doing his own thing". I grew up with a father who used to say "do as I say, not as I do" which taught me what hypocricy was early. Though I did hear that the place he went to was known for child prostitution... that should give us all something to think about and THAT wasn't said very loudly in his case. And to bbot he got off with a slap on the wrist. I guess for going to child prostitutes (maybe) out of the country you don't get charged for it in the US because it was out of the country after all?

I guess all these comments are right in many ways, but to distort news mentioning that he was with children as a sex tourist, it`s not true. The DR has many escorts resorts offering adult women, and only the very darkest places will dare bring a child forward for such atrocity. You`d be doing 10 years in a stinky cell if you`re ever caught. rush was reportedly seen as a guest in one of the upscale places ( see www.charlisangels.com ) for instance. These girls displayed in that site are all adult women, no children. It seems Rush has many enemies, enough to spread the dirt into such sensitive areas such as children. Let`s be frank, most men like escorts and Viagra at one point in their lives.
